What this site collects, what it deliberately does not, and how to have your details removed. Last updated 10 August 2026.

The short version

When you tap a link

Links shared by Odd Mob often run through oddmb.com/l/… so we can see which ones people actually use. When one is tapped we record the link, the date and time, your country, which site or app you came from (the domain only, never the full address), and whether you were on a phone or a computer.

To count people rather than taps, we create a short code from your IP address and browser, mixed with the date. The IP address itself is never written down, and because the date is part of the code, the same person on two different days produces two unrelated codes. It lets us say “about 400 people” without being able to follow anyone from one day to the next.

The mailing list

If you sign up we store your email address, your country, which page you signed up on, and the exact wording you agreed to at the time. We do not store your IP address, your city or your browser.

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately and needs no login. When you unsubscribe we keep a record that you left — that is deliberate, and it is what stops a later import from adding you back.

The contact form

Your name, email, subject and message are emailed to the band's management and are not stored on this site. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are not a bot without tracking you across sites.

Visitor numbers

We count page views with Umami, which we run on our own server. It uses no cookies, collects nothing that identifies you, and none of it is shared with anyone.

Other companies your browser contacts

Some parts of this site load from other companies, which means your browser connects to them and they can see your IP address, the same as visiting any website. We do not send them anything about you, and none of them place advertising trackers here.

Where your details are held

Mailing list addresses and link counts are stored on Cloudflare's database service, in a data centre in the Asia-Pacific region. Emails are sent through Resend, based in the United States. If you are in the UK or the EU, this means your email address is transferred outside your country when we send to you.

Why we are allowed to hold it

The mailing list runs on your consent, which you gave by ticking the box and can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. Link counts and visitor numbers run on legitimate interest — knowing which posts and links work is how a small team decides where to put its effort — and they are kept deliberately anonymous so that interest never comes at your expense. Contact form messages are handled so we can reply to you.

How long it is kept

Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe, after which only the fact that you left remains. Link and visitor counts are kept indefinitely, because after the first day they can no longer be connected to a person.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to it being held at all. In practice, for almost everyone, the only thing we hold is an email address — and unsubscribing deals with it.

Email through the contact form and say what you want done. If you are in the UK or the EU and you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
